Are you using our Scalp Oil Elixir South Asia? Try incorporating these poses into your routine for hair growth!
Did you know that increasing blood circulation can help stimulate hair growth? There are many exercises, stretch poses, and even yoga poses that not only help with blood circulation, but also help reduce stress, while improving hair growth. With stress being a lead contributor to poor blood circulation and hair loss, why not begin to feel good and look good at the same time.
Here are some all-level poses to improve blood circulation, while reducing stress, in order to stimulate hair growth.
WARNING: These inversion poses may cause light headed and dizziness if moving too quickly. Start by moving slowly, holding poses for about 3 breaths, and coming back down to the floor to rest (child pose, shown below). Once you feel at ease with each pose, hold for longer breaths and have fun!
1) Standing Forward Fold
Start from standing, hinge forward reaching your hands down towards your feet, shins, or knees. Legs can be straight or bent. Most importantly, relax your head and neck to allow adequate comfort and blood flow to the neck and head.
2) Downward Facing Dog
In this pose, both hands and feet meet the mat as the hips lift up towards the sky making the body look like an inverted V. The crown of your head points down towards your mat, in between your arms, as you gaze at your navel or between your feet. Stay here for about 3-5 long breaths.
3) Wide Forward Fold
Similar to a standing forward fold, start from standing and open legs out wide. Hinge from your hips and begin to lower head and hands down toward the ground or shins or thighs. Legs can be bent or straight.
4) Child Pose
Kneeling on the floor with the knees out wide and big toes to touch. Lower your hips back towards your heels as you lower your torso and head down, between your thighs. Arms can be extended out in front of you or down by your side, reaching towards the heels of your feet.
5) Rabbit Pose
Similar to child pose, start on hands and knees in a table top position. Bring the crown of your head (or top of head) down to the ground, curling your spine while keeping your hips up. Palms of your hands can stay next to your head or reach back towards your feet while keeping your hips high.
6) Camel Pose
Begin kneeling, feet hip distance apart. Root down through your legs and feet while you begin to bring the palms of your hands to your lower back, elbows reaching back behind you, and pressing your hips and pelvis forward. Lift through the ribcage and start to arch the back while lifting your chin up toward the sky. Hands can stay on the lower back or reach your hands down toward the heels of your feet.
